New Stamps Ordered

I found 2 really great places to order stamps.  One is Susana's  Custom Art (SCAC)  and the other is Sassy Stamps.  Their prices are so reasonable.  Really nice people to deal with.  Can't wait to get the stamps.  What I love about the Sassy Stamps is the fact that they have Christian Images.  The ones I picked out were for Easter.  The SCAC stamps are absolutely adorable.  Not too busy, but just as sweet as can be.  The set I ordered was called "Peepers".  Images of little children in cute poses.  Looking forward to trying out and practicing  using the Copic Sketch Markers on these.

I was going to attempt to take a class online to learn some of the techniques using the Copics, but the cost of the materials was so prohibitive, I decided against it.  By the time I purchased all the stamps, inks, and the copic markers and air brush system, it was way out of my price range.  So I'm going to be self-taught.  That way I can learn at my own pace and not be stressed to  be on  a schedule to get things done.

So as soon as I get my stamps, I'll post some pictures.

Finished product for our Parish Easter RCIA Candidates

The card  above is just a
simple flower.  We decide
less is more for this card.
I did some embossing on
the sides.  The card is about
4x6.  I used a stamp from Stampin Up.
I simply painted the stamp and then used
blender pens and markers to do some detail.
Wish I could figure out
how to make the card with
the flower a bit bigger for
you to see the detail.  It's on cream
card stock.
The above  picture on the is  an "insert" for their
card.  It's the size of a Holy Card.  On the back I printed
"And God so loved the World.....   and put Holy Saturday's
date.
This too was a stampin up stamp.  Painted it and detailed with
blender pens and markers.    I'm really pleased with how they b oth came out.

Well, onto my next project.  Mastering those Copic Markers.

Crayons to Copic Markers: My New Challenge

The journey begins.  This method of using inks and markers really intrigues me.  I can't wait to get into it.  Not a cheap hobby (of course not), but one that could really give my cards and projects a more professional look.  Now all I have to do is learn how.  U tube tutorials, here I come.  I want to try to do this on my own before I jump into any expensive classes etc.  I may find this old gal just can cut it.  (Not happening.)  Wish me luck.
