Today is kind of exciting for me.  I have been asked by Jellypark Designs to be a guest designer today.  The sweet image used in my card is from their store.  The theme of their Challenge is:

Finally, I can post

I am posting a "Secret Easter Card Swap" card that I made for TCC.  I just mailed it to my secret friend, so I can't post it anywhere except here for now until she receives it.   This is a new type of card for me.  It's an accordian fold, so there are a lot of pictures  showing a lot of different views.    The picture of the card in the box was just showing what it looked like when I posted it.  Sometimes we like to post the picture of the package we receive, simply because often they are quite clever.  As you can see, this isn't near clever, but it's close to cute.

Here's another look at the watermark.  Just love it.  Yea!  Stacie.  You did good.

New Challenge Starting Tomorrow For Easter

Pictures , I've got pictures

I have some Easter Note Cards I made for our RCIA candidates to be given to them on Holy Saturday.  Lighting wasn't too good, but the embellishment on the front shows pretty well.  These cards were all signed by the Parish Council before they are given out.

So Little Time; So Much To Do

I might not be posting as much this week.  Got lots happening creatively.  Fun stuff, but my head is going in circles trying to keep everything project , schedule, etc. straight.  So , of course, I'm making lists, more lists, and then more lists.  I'll have a lot of fun things to post by the end of the week, displaying some of the things I'm working on.

Who's Ready For Another Wacky Wednesday Challenge?

Wacky Wednesday is right around the corner.  This week is really going to challenge everyone to think outside that box they're in.  
          CHALLENGE:     wood

Simply use some type of wood in your card.  Does not have to be new .  It can be something you've made earlier.  Now come one, think about it.  Wood comes in soooooo many different  shapes, sizes, types, and so on and so on.  I'll have a sample to post to jump start your creative juices flowing.  But.....I won't be posting it until Wednday, March 21st.  Happy Spring!!!

 So get to work.  I want to see some examples of what you can come up with.

WACKY WEDNESDAY CHALLENGE TIME

My challenge this week for everyone is to make a  shape card.  Can be one you've already made.  The only restriction is it cannot be rectangle or square shape.

New Day;New Projects

Good Morning.  It's a beautiful Sunday Morning.  Have some time before Mass, so I thought I'd start the day with some info about some projects I'm working on.  I'm finishing up another ATC swap I'll be mailing tomorrow.  I'm really enjoying making these little cards.  The theme for this month, of course, is "Luck of the Irish" using a shamrock somewhere on the card.  Need to get out 11 of them.  Should be finished today.  

I also am making a tag using an adorable Leprechaun image donated by one of the designers.  I'll have the name when I post the tag.  Keeping all these images and stamps  straight with regard to whom they were designed is really crazy for me.  I want to give credit to those talented gals who create these for us to use.  So I really have to be careful when I post the recipe for projects that I mention the name of the company and/or designer.  Not been too good at that.  But getting better.  

I just received several fun digi images from FRESH BREWED DESIGNS .  Heather (the owner) donated these for us to use  in projects for LINK UP TO PINK GROUP  at  The Crafter's Cafe Site.  This is a group who are doing a great job regarding Breast Cancer Awareness.  These donated images all have the Breast Cancer Logo on them.  I'm going to be doing something with those soon.  When I do , I'll  post them here as well as  in the Gallery at the Crafter's Cafe.

More Operation Write Home Cards

I've just finished preparing 2 more cards to make with my "Card Shark" ladies at Park Place Residence.  The theme this month is red,white & blue.  

I have to make the cards user friendly for my friends at the assisted living  residence.  They do love to make these cards.  My little group consists of women from 78 yrs.-101 yrs. young.  They are definitely young at heart.  They are great group to work with.

Wacky Wednesday is Here.

Well, it's Wacky Wednesday.  Go look in your stash and find some  "ugly" paper.  You know you have some.  We paper crafters always do.  Now create something with it , doesn't have to be a card.  Just think outside the box and see what you do.  Can't wait to see.

Digi Delights March Challenge Card

Good Morning.  Well, today the TCC Challenge Blog  has a new challenge .. Our Sponsor for the Month is Digi Delights.  Great Images.  Here is mine.  Is she cute or what.  

The Challenge was to use a Digi Delight image provided for us and add ribbon and/or lace to it.  I opted for my little bows.  

The recipe for this card was pretty simple.

Spellbinders Shapeabilities Moroccan Accents was used for the side embellishment.
The papers are Recollection
I colored that sweet little angel using: stampin up water color pencil; glaze pens;water color markers; pastel chalks; and ink
I gave her a bit of "bling bling" using Liquid Pearls;stickles -gold and clear
The bows were made with 1/4" ribbon.

I won't be posting mine here or on Facebook until Tomorrow.    So there's lots and lots of fun stuff going on.  

We have had a monthly swap using ATC's .  I've never made any before, but they are so much fun.  Unfortunately, the one I had almost ready to go for February, had a misshap.  Used a crackle  liquid to age them as the final step, and it didn't work.  Ruined them.  So I had to drop out at the last minute.  Felt bad flaking like that , but there was nothing I could do.  The gals in the swap were great, though.  But I'm ready for March.  It's a Shamrock Theme.  No crackling for me this time.  I'll post them after the 17th.

New Challenge Theme

Well, I didn't get to play much yesterday due to commitments at Church.  But soon, very soon.  My craftroom is calling me.....

I do have some exciting news.  The Events Design Team for the Crafters Cafe are going to be doing some fun challenges starting March.  I do know I'm handling Wednesdays theme.  I  can't say too much, but stay tuned.  It's  going to be so much fun.  Those gals on the team are awesome.  Lots of creativity going on there.  Okay, Okay I'll give you a teeny hint. Think Wacky.   That's all I'm saying.  But be ready.....

Hope all had some fun playing yesterday with it being Presidents' Day and lots off work and school.    If you were able to do some creative fun things yesterday, leave a link, I'd love to see them.  If you know how to post them here, go for it.  I just don't know how to do that yet.LOL  I'm sure your pictures are way better than mine.  I'm still working on that picture taking thing.

My Days Are Too Short

Happy Monday!  I'm finding  there are not enough hours in a day for me.  That shouldn't be since I'm retired.  But......  I am having  cardmaking withdrawal today.  I haven't been able to get back into my craft room since the middle of last week.  There are challenges calling my name.   So today hopefully will be my playday.  So many fun projects that are piling up for me.  Got to get busy.  I'm really kind of glad Valentine's Day is over with.  I think I'm Valentined' Out.  It seemed like I was making Valentine themed cards and projects since right after Christmas.  As a matter of fact, I think I was.  

There are two sets of special cards in the making right now.  One set is for one of my favorite groups, OWH.  I'll be working up another set or two of patriotic cards to make with my little group of "young gals"  (the card sharks) at the nursing home . I still can't get over how much fun they are having making those cards.  

Then I have about 20 - 25 cards to make for our parishioners who will be finishing up the RCIA (rite of christian initiation) on Holy Saturday.  


So I do have quite a bit of special people to create something nice for.  


I'm excited about  the Events Design Team for The Crafters' Cafe projects we have coming up in March.  Lots of new challenges .  Can't share too much, but keep checking in at The Crafters' Cafe  for updates.

Another play day in my craft room.

It's A Party

This little sweetie is Little Abby who just loves to "Play Dress-up".   She's on a little purse I made that's   "blinged- up" like she is.   Of course, I had to add some little "fork" bows  (they are easy to make, and yes, they are made with a fork) using pink and white polka dot ribbon.  So glitter hearts  and gems and her outfit is complete.  I used  several different colors of stickles and pink carnations I scrunched up for her hat.   Now who doesn't love playing dress-up.
